Vigil in Support of Ukraine at 6pm on Tuesday 1 March at Abbey Gardens, Winchester

Please join the people of Winchester in a short vigil to show our humanitarian support for the people of Ukraine and our willingness to help Ukrainians who need sanctuary. This event is organised by Winchester City of Sanctuary together with Southampton and Winchester Visitors Group (SWVG). Members of Winchester City Council will be there to show their support.

Please come, tell your friends and bring a banner, an Ukrainian flag, a candle or a torch.  There will be Together With Refugees posters available for you.

Donations for Ukraine

A Polish Social Club in Southampton is organising donations for Ukraine, and is being publicised by Southampton Labour Councillor Satvir Kaur. Facebook Page. Most needed items are – Nappies, Wet Wipes, Bandages, Plasters, Baby Food (Jars, Sachets with long use by date), Feminine Sanitary Products, Toiletries (Toothpaste, Tooth Brushes, Soap, Shampoo Etc), Food (Non Perishable – Jars, Tins, Pasta etc).

If you would like to help please bring your donations to the Polish Social Club, 507 Portswood Road, SO17 2TH. Open from Monday 28 February, 6-8pm. Also participating in a virtual collection run by the Polish charitable donations portal ‘Sie Pomaga’ and anyone who wishes to donate anything, can do so by clicking this link (British cards are accepted).
